Find out where your tracking breaks, in about an hour.
Twelve checks, in the order they fail. Work through them against your own setup and you will know whether advertising spend can be traced to treatment revenue, or exactly which step is losing it. This is the sequence we run in the first week of a paid engagement.

The twelve checks.

Auto-tagging is on
Google only appends a click identifier if auto-tagging is enabled. It is off in a surprising number of long-running accounts, usually disabled years ago to keep URLs tidy.
Redirects preserve the query string
Canonical, https and trailing-slash redirects routinely strip parameters. The visitor lands on the right page with a clean URL and no identifier.
The booking form is not trapped in an iframe
A script inside an iframe cannot read the parent page URL. This is the most common cause in clinics, because most embed a third-party booking widget.
The form handler keeps unknown fields
Some handlers accept only fields they recognise and silently drop the rest.
The identifier survives record conversion
Many systems create a fresh record when a lead becomes a patient and carry across only standard fields. Custom fields quietly do not make the trip.
The CRM field is long enough
Identifiers run to about a hundred characters. A fifty-character field stores half of one, which is worse than storing nothing because it looks populated.
Treatment value is written back
This is the step almost everyone skips, and the only one that turns a lead into evidence.
Uploads happen inside the window
Google discards a click identifier after 90 days, and enhanced conversions for leads after 63. Patient journeys run 8 to 180 days.
Conversion action names are generic
The action name travels with the upload attached to an identifiable click. A name describing a procedure discloses a condition, which is a HIPAA problem rather than a naming preference.
Call tracking carries the identifier
Between 40 and 60 percent of healthcare conversions arrive by phone. A setup covering only forms measures the smaller half.
You upload on attendance, not booking
Between 15 and 30 percent of appointments become no-shows. Uploading on booking trains the algorithm to find people who book and do not attend.
You know your out-of-hours share
Enquiries arriving overnight wait until morning, and by then the patient has usually booked elsewhere. The loss is invisible because the enquiry was captured.
Where should we send the checklist?
One email, the full checklist with the detail behind each step. No call, no pitch, and one click unsubscribes.
Would rather just talk it through? Book thirty minutes and we will walk your setup on the call.
